Craig Scott

Head of User Insights | Dolmen Design & Innovation

Craig was born and brought up in Hong Kong before moving to the UK in his teens.  His constant sense of being an outsider has served him well in his twenty-plus year career in marketing and insight.  What is culturally oblivious to others leaves him pondering why do people behave the way they do?  This pondering led Craig to roles such as European Head of Insight for Infant & Child Care, Kimberly-Clark and European Head of Insight for Oral Care, Johnson & Johnson.  When the pharmaceutical industry wanted to learn how to be more customer-centric, Craig stepped into the role of European Head of Research for Pfizer.  It was here that Craig consolidated his crusade – to shift companies from a culture of data to a culture of insight.

Craig now combines work as Head of User Insights at Dolmen Design & Innovation as well as running his own business, Mingle, which specialises in helping companies become more customer connected.

Craig is an award-winning speaker and regularly speaks at conferences and company meetings and is known for his unqualified passion for understanding and connecting with people, for making others want to do the same and for his engaging speaking style.  In addition, he writes a sporadic column (‘Binge Thinking’) for the Market Research Society with many thousands of readers.
