Dermot Casey joined IRDG from Resolve Partners a leading Innovation Consultancy where he built accelerators, supported fundraising, and worked with founders, researchers, Universities, and Corporates.

Prior to Resolve Dermot was Venture Leader at NDRC (National Digital Research Centre) where he invested in and mentored startups ranging from University Spinouts to Medical Device and Machine Learning companies.  Over three years as COO for Storyful he grew it from 2 to 35 people. He worked for GE for a decade in technical and management roles. Dermot has been a lecturer in Strategy, Innovation and Digital Transformation at UCD’s Smurfit School and he is a Director of the Festival of Curiosity.

He has a BSc in Computer Science from UCD and an MBA from the Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School.
