Frank is an expert in design thinking and corporate innovation. Over 30 years, Frank has applied design thinking and innovation leadership skills in many international businesses, including indigenous start-ups and multi-nationals. Frank has founded and led multiple technology companies, both entrepreneurial start-ups and multi-national corporates.

At Maynooth University, where he is founder and Head of the Department of Design Innovation since 11 years ago, Frank researches and teaches on design thinking, innovation management and lean entrepreneurship. Frank founded the pioneering and twice award winning MSc in Design Innovation in 2014, which is now in its sixth very successful year.

Frank consults and provides executive training in the areas of design thinking, innovation management, innovation strategy, lean entrepreneurship. He regularly provides keynote talks on these topics at seminars and conferences.

Frank has been lead course provider with IRDG’s Design Thinking masterclass series for industry practitioners, which has run twice per year for the last 5 years. Currently Frank and IRDG are contracted by Enterprise Ireland (Ireland’s support agency for indigenous industry) to provide Design Thinking training on site to 25 SMEs.

Frank recently completed a book on Design Thinking, titled “Arrive – a design innovation framework to deliver breakthrough services, products and experiences”.
