Timo is the Managing Director and Partner of Hellon, one of the pioneering Service Design agencies founded in 2009. Hellon has two design studios, one in Helsinki and the other in London and between the two of them, Hellon has become the most awarded agency in the world in the field of Service Design.

He currently runs the London studio and supports organisations like Vodafone, Musgrave Group, EDF, HSBC and Hyundai Motor Company to embrace user-centric strategies and design as a part of the overall strategy to improve not only products and services but also their end to end customer experience and, in some cases, the organization itself.

In addition to his role as the MD he also takes part in the strategic development for the company at a group level and an important part of Timo’s work is making sure Hellon´s offering globally meets the clients changing needs now and, in the future, – like the design of the Feel Safe.

His passion lies in the art of strategic planning and growth strategies – supporting organisations embark on a journey of design driven transformation as well as spreading the message that good CX is good business.

During the last years, Timo has focused on helping large multinational organisations marry quantitative findings with qualitative reasoning in order to create design driven results that resonate to a wider group of stakeholders outside the immediate design team, in order to illustrate the value of customer experience design to the to the c-level.

Timo has recently spoken and held master classes about Optimising Service Design Investments with Artificial Intelligence as well as talked at Customer Experience and Design events such as The Service Design Global Conference,  The Service Design Summit in Prague, Service Design Days in Barcelona and The Service Design Fringe Festival in collaboration with the Policy Lab of the UK Government in London.

Timo has a Master´s Degree in Science of Economics with a focus in international marketing and leadership. Prior to joining Hellon he started the Getty Images business in Finland and worked as the country manager and later moved to manage the Nordic Region where he worked at the Nordic Leadership level for Getty Images.
